Five Mountains teas are certified organic internationally by the EU, Japan & USA to ensure our teas are truly 100% organic. Organic growing practices and the crafting of authentic pure teas have an intimate relationship. Fine teas require a delicate ecosystem and healthy environment to flourish. By supporting organic, one also supports tea by promoting the protection of its environment. Tea is inherently healthy, but when not 100% certified organic by multiple respected organizations, it can contain toxins, heavy metals and pesticides, negating its healthy effects.

Five Mountains' signature teas are provincial heirloom varietals, biodiversely grown and sustainably hand-harvested from ancient virgin rain forests. These tea trees live symbiotically and they, together with their surrounding rainforest, act as a carbon sink. These sustainable harvests help bring recognition to the region which in turn promotes its preservation.

In our efforts to become a carbon negative operation and the greenest tea company possible, we co-created the first 100% biodegradable and home-compostable high barrier whole leaf tea packaging. Made from non-GMO FSC* certified sustainable wood pulp with soy-based inks, this packaging breaks down when exposed to normal, natural environmental conditions (earth, air, sun and water).
